Back to school

The end of the summer is here, and the start of new term begins. Having a teacher for a hubby means that it can be quite hard to transition back into. This year is going to be quite stressful for him as the dreaded OFSTED are due. This means much less time to see him. We have had a lovely, restful / ill summer, and now I'm going to miss having everyone around. Littlest is off to school too which is a bit heartbreaking but am planning on completing some craft projects, organising the house, doing some photography and still helping at our church toddler group. I think I'll be busy!
Having had a lovely summer off Facebook am taking the bold decision to make my profile into a page. I'll be on it personally with my hubby but we won't be 'befriending ' that many people. Mostly due to the Facebook 'noise' it can create. I'd rather hear everyone's news from them especially if they are nearby, also I understand this is harder for our further afield friends so we plan on keeping up with them!
Good luck to all those going back to school, God bless x

Home

We are home, isn't it amazing that after 2 weeks of eagerly anticipated holiday, coming home feels great.
It was lovely to see friends from Bristol on our way north, however, it was all too brief and it would have been better to see them all for a lot longer.
Returning for the Holiday Club antics, I'm going to try and take it a little easier than I had originally planned, but be on hand to provide bottled water.
Here's to the next four weeks!

Holiday

I am so thankful that I've managed to have a relatively migraine free holiday, apart from a mini one which snuck in. We've managed to spend most of the time on the beach,
Padstow has a micro climate all of its own. Whilst we were basking in the sun there were rainclouds all around.
We managed to meet up with friends and the boys had a great time. We went to carnglaze caverns for the first time, which was lovely, in spite of moaning ill littleun.
Our plans have been interrupted again by illness. Thanks to the lovely Auntie R we have been fighting colds all week and today I now have 2 ill ones, hubby and littleun are not doing so well. We have had to cancel plans to cycle on camel trail. We'd booked the bikes and everything, even me, although as hubby keeps pointing out he's never seen me on a bike in the whole 13 years we've been together! Here's a photo of littlest enjoying looking at one of his friends....
God bless x

Improvement

Well, littlest perked up today! Again, the day worked out differently to our expectations which was good today! After the eldest boys had gone on their walk yesterday
We had plans to play games and not do much, however this was changed after we spent some time with my Uncle, Aunt and cousin. Cousin wanted to go out wakeboarding on their boat so we all went out together.
The boys loved it, as Jack had been going on about having a 'high speed trip' for ages!
All the photos were taken on the 'big' camera, so excuse the quality. Lots of good times are happening here and am thankful to report that head seems to be clearer. Or the painkillers are working well but am thankful for that too!
God bless x

Holiday

We are now here in Padstow and the weather is not too bad, surprisingly! We have had a lovely time on the way here as we stopped off at T's parents where ther was an unexpected surprise in a little package called cousin The Boy. Little'un and littlest loved having The Boy there and they had marvellous fun, even enjoying playing soldiers together.
We left on Monday evening and arrived with both boys asleep, they were so excited to go back to sleep in the cottage that they top and tailed on the first night. A chilled out day followed and the boys went to the beach when I went shopping and then we all went for pasties.
Littlest however, woke up today being sick so the biggest boys are off on a walk while I look after sleepy sick boy. Here are some pictures of it so far!

Illness

Well, July already, feel like have been in a bubble for ages. After a lovely crazy Christmas I started to feel poorly. Have suffered from migraines since childhood, however this batch of migraines has started in January and not left yet. After 7 months of constant headaches and thrice weekly migraines I'm pretty much exhausted, mentally and physically.
I've dismantled my studio and it is now a lovely playroom for all the boys, planning on concentrating this summer on my family and on enjoying spending time with them. I still love photography and would love to continue, however, at the moment am cutting down on things and focusing on doing outdoor, natural shoots, using the experience I have gained in studio work to help me attain this. I have now done two more weddings, making my total up to three. I have loved them all, especially the second one which was with my first 'clients' who started me on this crazy journey.
I am removing my Facebook for the summer again as I find it too all consuming to try and focus on everyone else, so if you are reading this and would like to stay in touch or tell me important info then please text. I know at I'm not too good at blogging, however, inspired by my lovely friend at http://www.itsjustmeandmylife.com I plan to try and blog a bit over the summer, if I don't, prompt me!
To everyone who knows me I want to thank you for being my support over this time, it is hard and I'm still struggling but smiling. Please feel free to ask how I am but if I just shrug then know I value you asking but am not having a good day, a headscarf is a clear indicator that am just making it through the day!
God bless x
